Laser Tattoo Removal Pricing

All tattoo removal treatments at The UnTattoo Parlor are administered by a licensed nurse or doctor. The UnTattoo Parlor is the only laser tattoo removal service in the Northwest that has three picosecond wavelength lasers, designed to treat all colors of tattoo ink, and offers a local lidocaine injection for pain management.

When choosing treatment (energy) settings our goal is to break up as much ink as possible in one session while being mindful of possible negative side effects like scarring, hyperpigmentation and hypopigmentation. All tattoos fade in their own unique way and at their own pace. Often this timeline can be predicted, taking into account the age of the tattoo (new tattoos sometimes do not show any sign of change until after 2 or 3 treatments), the density of the ink and the color of the pigment. There are times when for no identifiable reason a tattoo fades more quickly or more slowly than would be expected. This is all part of the process. At some time during your treatment process, it may happen that there is no significant or visible change between treatments. This does not necessarily mean that there has been no change beneath the visible dermis at the cellular level. Photos and energy settings are compared at each visit in order to better understand how your removal process is progressing. If there is no significant change after two treatments, we are happy to offer you the next treatment at half the price of a regular session.* If during your treatment process we begin to suspect that your tattoo is recalcitrant (not able to successfully be removed) we will notify you immediately and work with you to make a plan for moving forward. We will not continue treating your tattoo without your consent if we think it is not possible for you tattoo to be removed.

*Exclusions may apply due to the age of the tattoo and the density of pigment. Newer tattoos are more difficult to break up initially and may require additional treatments before any significant change is visible. Dense tattoos that contain a great deal of pigment may also take additional treatments before any noticeable change occurs.

Laser Tattoo Removal Cost

When estimating the cost of tattoo removal or lightening of a tattoo The UnTattoo Parlor takes into account a number of variables that can affect the tattoo removal process. These include but are not limited to the color, the age and the density of the pigment. Most tattoos require about 5-7 treatments spaced about 8-12 weeks apart (or longer) to no longer be visible. Depending on the tattoo pigment can be light enough for a cover-up in about 1-3 treatments. If you have a tattoo artist in mind we recommend working with her/him as you move through the removal process in order to better understand what part of the tattoo may need to go and what might be able to stick around.

All pricing is based on the time it takes to anesthetize (or not) and to treat your pigment with the laser. The following examples of tattoos and their pricing are designed to give you only a general idea of how much your tattoo removal will cost. All tattoo removal pricing is estimated on a patient by patient basis only after an in-person consultation. If you do not live in the Portland area we are happy to give you a price based on pictures of your tattoos, sent to info@theuntattooparlor.com. We do not give price quotes over the phone.
